💋what is the difference between a lip flip and lip filler?

A lip flip uses neurotoxin (like Botox or Dysport) to relax the Orbicularis oris muscle. When those muscles relax, the upper lip subtly “flips” upward, exposing more of the pink part of the lip. This gives the appearance of a slightly fuller upper lip, without adding actual volume. It lasts about 2-3 months.

The truth? It's been beautiful, exhausting, emotional but SO worth it.

The photo of me crying? That was taken on a day when I was questioning everything, but it's also the moment that I realized how much this dream means to me and nothing was going to stop me.

I was *this* close to signing a lease at a different office space in Dubuque and at the last minute decided to put it on pause because of some other looming things. But honestly, that was such a great decision in hindsight. Like all things, it's all about timing! This opportunity came along to rent a room at an established medical practice and it just made so much sense! I loved the location, the building, and a great way to get started on a small scale. My vision board is full of big goals and dreams but this is an important step in my story.

Getting to this point was a labor of love with lots of help from my family and friends but I'm so happy how it all came together!
